Mini Pancakes – Holland House

The Mini Nutella Pancakes were going viral on various micro blogging sites and I-JUST-HAD-TO-HAVE-IT. I couldn’t wait to get back to Dubai and have my hands on ’em.  It piqued my curiosity even more because it’s a NUTELLA  dish.

Little into the history

This yummy dish was found 68 years ago by a man who used to bake Dutch poffertjes, which is a traditional Dutch batter treat made from yeast and buckwheat flour that resemble these fluffy, mini pancakes. Since then, it became a big hit in the whole of Europe and now it has found its way to Dubai to spread the love of pancakes to the citizens with Holland House Mini Pancakes, which is again first of its kind in the region.

My Experience



I decided to check them out on an evening. Headed to the truck, the one at the Waterfall in Dubai Mall.  This bright, orange coloured Holland House truck can be easily spotted. There are various toppings over the pancakes. I went for Nutella since it was their signature one.

These mini pancakes are completely DRENCHED in Nutella. The fresh batter is poured into small holes of a pan and the pancakes become perfectly fluffy. Nutella is melted from the heat of these bite-sized pancakes and are so YUMMY.  A portion contains 10 mini pancakes served on a disposable tray for AED25.  It might seem to a be a tad bit pricey but is definitely worth every penny.
